6. New Business. 

A) SFPS General Service Office and Agua Fria E.S. want to discuss the masterplan for the Agua Fria Elementary School Building Renovation Project (Suzanne Jacquez Gorman, Principal 467-1302).

B) Secretarial position for AFVA Board of Directors.   President Mee proposes to name Glida Rotunno-Montano to the position under authority of the Bylaws.* See NOTE Below.

 

7. Old Business.

A) “Village Plaza” update by Monica Montoya and Carlos Garcia.  This development is at the West Alameda/County Road 62 Intersection.

B) BCC Case #MIS 10-5502 Haciendas Del Alamo Masterplan extension (Gaynl Keefe).

C) Planning on how to launch our Agua Fria “Beautification Project”

(removing unsightly areas within the Village like junked cars and generally improving how community looks--Jack Kolkmeyer, Santa Fe County Land Use Administrator, joined us last month..

D) The Board of County Commissioners passed the Sustainable Growth Management Plan on November 9th.  Next step is developing a Code.  The AFVA has formed a committee to track the progress and is seeking members (former AFDRC members?).   

E) Santa Fe River Erosion meeting Wednesday, 1-13 at SF County Legal 1:30 p.m.  We met 12-8-10.

F) Neighborhood Watch volunteers sought.

9. Approval of Minutes of Meetings.  The minutes for November and December are not done yet.

A) Duncan Sill, Economic Development Planner with Santa Fe County is wanting to discuss a “Agricultural Revitalization Plan” and a possible “Renewable Energy District” for Agua
Fria Village
based on his work in La Cienega. 


B) Mikki Anaya, Adopt the River Coordinator, of the Santa Fe Watershed Association will give an update on Santa Fe River preservation activities (Spring Planting schedule).


C) Tom Deaton is proposing a bed and breakfast on the southeast corner of West Alameda and San Ysidro Crossing.


D) There is a March 10th Meeting at 5:30 p.m. the NRCC by James Siebert and Associates for 7.59 acres south of Rufina Street and west of Richards Avenue for a 43 unit Mobile Home Park

E) Adults At Play, a organization run by Gilbert Montoya (Gilbert@AdultsAtPlayNM.org) is proposing a use for the Agua Fria Park.

7. Old Business.

B) UPDATES ON:

            1). Planning for advertising the April General Meeting and Election.


            2). “Water Harvesting near the NRCC for an Agua Fria Community Garden” by Sig Silber.


            3). Planning a forum on the Agua Fria Water Rights Negotiations with City, County and State.


            4). Santa Fe County’s Sustainable Land Development Plan and Sustainable Land Use Code           (these documents were presented at CDRC Public Hearing on February 18th.  The Plan has been        rewritten and is going through a series of Review Workshops
and is available at the County     website:
